A FITNESS center and gym wants to offer free sessions to under eighteens to give back to the community and do its bit to help tackle childhood obesity.
Immortal Fitness, in Darwen Road in Bromley Cross, opened in November last year and has been helping to get people fit ever since.
Now it wants to give back to the area and is offering free workouts to people aged under eighteen.
The fitness center and gym is located near Sainsbury’s, next door to Greenhalgh’s.
Luis Lee, the manager at Immortal Fitness explained the idea, he said: “As you may know, obesity is on the rise in England. We just want to help the community to be healthier and to help young people as much as we can.
“We’re trying it at our Warrington location and we have already had about 10 or 15 emails.
“People can email in and we can help get them fit.”
Mr Lee, who spent four years training soldiers in physical fitness before opening the gym, grew up in Bolton.
He originally opened the facility as he thought it was something lacking in Bromley Cross.
His aim was to get the whole community fit and he now hopes to branch out into the younger market and give something back.
Immortal believes that whatever your age, gender, size or fitness level a healthy lifestyle should be enjoyed by everyone.
The fitness studio offers five different types of training methods and personal training options are available.
Workouts take place in a small room and follow a circuit type programme which lasts for 45 minutes.
Figures earlier this year showed that around one in five 11-year-olds in Bolton were obese and a further third were overweight.
